New Bluegrass Venue and Jam Opportunities!

Hudson Valley Bluegrass Association, Adirondack Bluegrass League, and Connecticut Bluegrass Association join forces to sponsor a new “haven” for Bluegrass Musicians.

On Dec 16, we have organized a Pilot Bluegrass Event that will include multiple concurrent bluegrass Jamming Locations, a slow jam, and a Free Wernick Method jam class at the Bearsville Theater. The theater has multiple green rooms that could be a jamming haven – just like the well-known Cantab in Cambridge MA. These can happen before and during the show, from 4-10PM

The venue will bring new professional bluegrass musicians into the space to offer live music as well. If the event is a success, we can keep it going! Would you consider sharing this if you believe in supporting artists, education/learning opportunities, and bluegrass jamming?

LISTEN – JAM – CONNECT

One great thing about this historic and beautifully renovated venue is that it has a number of discreet spaces available, which will allow us to do more than just have a bluegrass show.  The night will start with a slow jam and Wernick Method Jam Class from 4pm to 6pm. Dinner will be served at 6PM. From 7pm to 10pm, the Bearsville Lounge will feature some hot bluegrass by Bruno Bruzzese, Max Rainwater, Tom Behan, David Gandin, and Austin Scelzo.  Dinner menu and drinks are served in the lounge.  During the show, the Green Room downstairs will remain open for jamming, so pickers who would rather pick than watch the show can gather there, or go in and out from the jam to the show as they please.

We hope that December 16th will be the first in a series of Bearsville Bluegrass Nights that may grow to include workshops and breakout groups – something like a mini, one night festival atmosphere and a place for bluegrass enthusiasts to connect and have a good time.

The cover charge for this event is ($10-15) with a $20 min to spend on drinks/food. Save on your cover charge, support musicians, and pay just $5 by using this “Bluegrass Incentive Pass” (Please print or show on your phone at the door)

The event is capped at 50 people: If you’d like to reserve a table and plan to use your incentive pass: You can call ahead at 845.684.7133
